Are you familiar with the following quote from Albert Einstein?
“Women marry men hoping they will change.
Men marry women hoping they will not.
So each is inevitably disappointed.”
There’s definitely some truth in his words. I woke up this morning finally understanding why women not only hope but actually put a lot of effort into actively changing their men.
Deep within the heart of every woman is the instinctive knowledge that she’s graceful, powerful, vibrant, beautiful, courageous and intelligent. Along with this knowledge is the imperceptible understanding that she has the power to influence her man to be his very best.
So, if this is true then what’s the problem?
The real challenge isn’t whether you can stay the same (continue to express yourself as vibrant, confident and interdependent like when you first met) or whether you can change him (let’s call it influence, which is actually more powerful than change), but HOW you can create the right conditions to make these things so.
Your recipe for influencing him may be missing a few of the most essential ingredients!
The most important of these is your light.
A woman that shines brightly and is in her light has the power to influence and magnetize her man to rise up alongside her.
What do I mean by light?
Imagine for a moment that you are a light bulb. Are you a 300-watt bulb shining brightly, attracting people to you and inspiring them to be their very best or are you more like a 40-watt bulb shining brightly enough to dimly light a small room?
Or even worse, are you more like a shadow instead of the light?
The only way you can hope to influence change in him is by consistently and systematically creating positive changes in yourself to increase and then maintain your light.
Once you become the woman you know you can be, it’s this woman (and only this woman) that can influence him to be all that he can be.
