About Susan
Susan
Blackburn, M.A. Psych., is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors,
Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP). She has a Masters degree in
Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, a B.A.
(Honours) in Psychology from York
University and a B.Sc. in Business from the University of Phoenix.
Her
experience includes
coaching, counselling and
psychotherapy with individuals, couples, families, and teenagers.
Susan's
theoretical foundation encompasses Adlerian psychotherapy,
emotive-educational, transformational, solution-focused, cognitive
behavioural, emotion-focused and client-centred modalities.
She
enjoys working with people to achieve a sense of overall wellness. Using warm
and encouraging support, she allows people to rediscover their confidence, find
life balance and enjoy every aspect of their lives.
As a
mother, psychotherapist and former director of a graduate-level private school,
Susan understands the challenges facing career-committed professionals,
family-oriented individuals and those seeking change for personal improvement.
